Tori Tyler transfers to Chico State...

Tori Tyler (left/photo courtesy University of Washington), who was a member of Team USA at the 2005 NACAC cross country championships in Clermont, Florida, and was the 2005 Pacific-10 Conference women's cross country newcomer of the year while a student at the University of Washington, has transferred to Chico State in California.

She redshirted on the track in the 2006-07 season, and only competed in a pair of cross country events, finishing 23rd at the Sundodger Invitational and 39th at the Dellinger Invitational. Tyler was the California State 3,200-meter champion as a senior at Gunn High School in Palo Alto. She also competed in the prestigious Foot Locker cross country National Championships.

During her career at Washington, she had been dogged by various injuries.
