Ryan Vu finishes third in pole vault at NACAC U-23 meet...

MIRAMAR, Florida--Recent University of Washington graduate Ryan Vu (left/photo courtesy University of Washington) finished third in the men's pole vault for Team Canada as day one of the NACAC Under-23 championships concluded at the Ansin Sports Complex.

Vu, who holds dual citizenship with the USA and Canada, and who won the Pacific-10 Conference title in this event last May for the Huskies, cleared 16-4 3/4 (5.00m), as Jordan Scott of the United States won with a jump of 18-2 3/4 (5.56m).

The meet continues Saturday, and concludes Sunday in South Florida, as a trio of Washington State University athletes--Jeshua Anderson (4oo hurdles & 4 x 400 relay pool), Anna Layman (800), and Marissa Tschida (javelin) will compete for Team USA.
