The Flash Man wins first round heat of 200m at World University Games...

SHENZHEN, China--University of Washington sophomore James Alaka (left/photo courtesy University of Washington), who finished fifth in the 100 meters Wednesday night, won his opening round heat of the 200 meters Thursday morning as day three of the World University Games began.

Running in the fourth of 11 heats, Alaka, the Pac-10 champ at both 100 and 200 meters from Great Britain, cruised to the victory in 21.32, the 13th fastest time of the morning.

Alaka will run in the second round of the 200 later Thursday beginning at 6:30 pm local time (3:30 am Thursday in Seattle).

Before his race, Washington State University standout Jeshua Anderson runs in the semis of the men's 400 hurdles at 6:05 pm (3:05 am Thursday in Seattle).
