NCAA announces accepted entries for next weekend's Division II championships in Colorado...

The NCAA announced its accepted entries for the Division II Track & Field Championships in Pueblo, Colorado on May 24-26th.

Western Washington will have the largest group, led by triple jumper Emily Warman (left/photo by Paul Merca), javelin thrower Katie Reichert, and pole vaulter Karis Anderson on the women's side, along with hammer thrower Michael Hoffman and decathlete Alex Harrison, who will also contest the javelin.

Anderson is tied for seventh nationally in the pole vault at 12-7 1/2, and Reichert ranks seventh in the javelin (148-4). Harrison is eighth in the javelin (214-7) as is Hoffman in the hammer (205-1). Harrison is 10th in the decathlon (6772) and Warman is 13th in the triple jump (40-5).

Seattle Pacific will have javelin thrower Brittany Aanstad, and heptathlete Ali Worthen. Worthen will also high jump. The Falcons' lone male competitor is 800 meter runner Nate Seely.

Aanstad is the D-2 leader in the jav with a throw of 161 feet, 11 inches on April 7 at the War V meet in Spokane.In the hep, Worthen comes in as the No. 4 seed on the career-high score of 5,199 points with which she won the GNAC title on April 30-May 1 in Ellensburg.

Seely, the GNAC 800 meter winner, moved from #29 on the D2 performance list all the way to #8 in winning the conference title in 1:50.61 in Monmouth, Oregon.

Central Washington will be represented by pole vaulter Kati Davis, who is seeded #15.
