Dawgs and Cougs head to Los Angeles for USC Invitational...

LOS ANGELES--Both the University of Washington and Washington State University are in action this weekend at the USC Trojan Invitational at Loker Stadium on the campus of the University of Southern California.

With the Trojans hosting the Pac-12 championships in May, this will be an opportunity for both squads to get a first hand look at the venue for the conference title meet.

With the Huskies finishing up winter quarter finals this week, the team will be in California during spring break, starting off with the USC meet, then moving north to run at the Stanford Invitational next week, with the team training in Santa Barbara in between.

The long throwers will finally get an opportunity to show the coaches how their throwing has progressed over the fall and winter months, led by javelin All-Americans Joe Zimmerman and Jimmy Brookman for the Huskies.

The USC Invite features teams from Texas A&M, Utah, BYU, Hawaii, and Cal Poly, with the A&M Aggies bringing in the preseason #1 ranked men's squad, and their women ranked #6.
