NEW ORLEANS—Both of the University of Washington track and field teams remain in the nation’s top 25 after the release of the first regular season rankings by the USTFCCCA Monday.

The Washington women’s team dropped slightly to #21 from their #19 pre-season computer ranking released earlier in the month, while the Husky men maintained their #25 ranking from the pre-season.

The nation’s top five women’s teams are Oregon, Arkansas, Georgia, USC and Florida.

Stanford is the only other women’s team from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation ranked in the top 25, as they sit at #23.

The country’s top five men’s teams are Florida, Oregon, LSU, Georgia, and Arkansas.

USC at #10, and Stanford at #13 are the only other teams from the MPSF ranked in the national top 25.

The Huskies return to action Friday and Saturday when they host the UW Invitational meet at the Dempsey Indoor facility.

The USTFCCCA rankings are available here (men) and (women).
